Trail-Gear is now manufacturing a much needed OEM replacement component, and filled another need in the Toyota off roading industry. These are new bearing spindles for 1979-1985 Toyota Pickups and 4Runners (Hilux).

These spindles are manufactured from forged 4140 chromoly and then CNC machined for a perfect fit. Sold individually, these spindles are great when building or rebuilding a Rock Assault Housing, a Diamond Axle,an OEM axle, and Ruffstuff Specialties housings.

The factory axles were designed with 30 splines at the differential, and neck down to 27 Spline at the CV creating a common failure point. This axle set upgrades the weak 27 splines at the CV to a 300M 30 spline race eliminating the need to neck down the shaft.

Tests prove Ultimate CV Axles to be twice as strong as OEM shafts, and they're just as tough at a straight angle as they are at extreme angles. Even if you have big tires and big power there are no worries. Ultimate CV Axles are low maintenance and operate with a smoothness you can feel - whether off road or on the street.

So you may ask, since it is cheaper than what we are used to, is it going to break?  Well, we can say this... the case is a forged chunk of 4320 chromoly to start.

True Trac limited slip for Toyota 8" V6 Differential.

The ARB  Air Locker is one of the world’s most highly regarded traction aid. The ARB Air Locker is a driver controlled locking differential originally designed to give serious 4 wheelers the traction needed to combat extreme off road terrain. When extra traction is required, the driver activates the Air Locker via a convenient dash mounted switch. Pneumatic pressure supplied by an on board air compressor engages ARB’s patented locking mechanism within the Air Locker, thus preventing the wheels from turning independently. The Air Locker is deactivated by flicking a switch, returning the differential to normal. By far the most coveted locker in the world! Choose from front or rear lockers.

RD132 Toyota 8 inch 4cyl, V6 and High Pinion FJ80 Air Locker

The RD132 Superceeds the RD23 in March of 2007.

If you have a 4cyl differential, late model 50.00mm [1.969"] id carrier Bearings must be used. (ARB Part No. 160116)

RD142 Toyota Land Cruiser 9.5" Air Locker Full Floating

Please Note: The RD142 is made for all 50mm carrier bearings. If you are installing an Air Locker into an earlier model Toyota with a 45mm differential carrier bearing inside diameter then you will need to use the higher rated later model 50mm bearings: Timken # 32010X-32010X or ARB # 160116. If your OE carrier bearings have an ID of 50mm, replace them with new bearings of the same type.

Toyota Land Cruiser 9.5" Differentials (12 Bolt Full Floating. What does this mean "Full Float"?  The axle shaft is splined on both ends, the axle shaft does not support the weight of the vehicle, the bearings do- therefore, the axle "Floats" inside the axle housing.)

Please Note, this will not fit FJ80 / LX450 Front as these are 8" high pinion reverse rotation differentials. 

This locker will not work with any of the semi float c-clip rear axles!

How do I tell if I have a full floating or semi floating rear axle?  If the wheel hub is flush with the wheel it is a semi floating rear axle. If it has a hub that sticks out past the wheel then it is a full floating rear axle.  

With 30 spline birfields, six stud knuckles, and chromo hub gears or drive flanges, the next weak link in your front axle is your hub studs. When they fail you will be left without four wheel drive, and often times the hub will be unrepairable. Trail-Gear, in partnership with ARP, have designed the most durable hub stud on the market. These hub studs are made from the strongest material ARP can manufacture for this type of fastener. ARP 2000 material has a tensile strength of 220,000 PSI and the ARP 2000 hub stud is cadmium plated to ensure that it is protected from rust and corrosion for many rough years to come. On the top of the stud we machined a 6mm hex head so that installation and maintenance is easy and no special tools are required. ARP 2000 hub studs are sold in kits of six with all the necessary hardware included.

This is a replacement pinion seal.  This is a much better seal than the seals you find at your local parts store because usually they don't have the special dust shield lip.  These are really no different than a heavy duty seal other than they do not have an indexing lip for installation.  We usually coat the outside of these seals with a little RTV and then press them in.
